So should I post my process videos here?

Posted by Trelliaart - 1 month ago

Hello! Is posting process art videos something that we see on here? I have started recording my process videos for my art and wonder if it's something anyone on here would be interested in? If yes, how do I go about it for upload? Animation provides MP4 but it's not really an animation... How should I go about this?

Sorry I'm still new to using Newgrounds! I appreciate any and all input! <3

It's not allowed to post process vids as animations here, but you could post them onto youtube and copy the embed code from the video onto a news post. This advertises your vids there and here. Hope that helps.

Thank you SO much for your response. Yeah I figured it probably wouldn't be allowed but I prefered asking just in case. This is of great help! Thank you! :)

@Trelliaart Don't mention it, love your work dude.

Just as @Arzonaut said, you can't post them as a movie submission, but you can post a link in the description for your art submission

How did you get interested in creating art?

Hi! I started drawing fairly early and I won't trauma dump on here, but loneliness at the time had a big part of it. Drawing helped me a lot, then it developed into something I wanted to continue doing. I'm still learning every day :)

@Trelliaart what are the qualities in art that you like?

That's a good question! I think the qualities I enjoy most is how broad and infinite it is. You can speak of anything in art, and its interpretation can be very personal but also interpersonal. Make art that you don't only like/enjoy, and it's up to you to send out a message or not -- but it's up to the viewer to see what they want to share. I guess it's a little cliche but it's what I enjoy most I think. And anyone who tries to tell you something isn't art, be it painting, drawing, music, writing, etc... they are a sad and very closed individual. If you see nothing in someone's art, fine, but it doesn't make it any less art.

On a more technical view, it's the atmosphere in a piece that really does it for me, something I'm working hard to work with. Atmosphere and storytelling are so important and something I absolutely adore, though I struggle with it in my own art.

I hope that answers your question! <3

@Trelliaart thank you so much, yes that does answer my question!

Personally, I'd love to see them, your art's really cool and it would be great to be able to see your process :)
